Interesting that Brocail is  Type-A. I didn’t think he was that good. I would guess that the Astros will try to re-sign all 3 guys. At the very least, they will again offer arb to Loretta and certainly to Wolf, who they want to keep anyway. I am reasonably certain they will re-sign Brocail.

lisa who do you think some of the players that the Stros should pursue either by FA or by trade and can likely afford or willing to pay for?

  2. Lisa Gray says:

that is the next entry – i’ll have it up tues or wed

  3. Bruce says:

    Oliver Perez (Mets)

  4. Lisa Gray says:

    his agent is scott boras.
    nuff said.
he will also demand at LEAST 12 mill a year for 4, probably 5 years. and yall think wandy is fluky…

  5. Bruce says:

    So is that a no?

  6. Lisa Gray says:

the “no” refers to the position of the Organization about scott boras clients.
the trouble with perez is that he is incredibly more unpredictable than the hated wandy. there are too many games in which he simply can NOT find the plate. or he can only find the middle of it.
even if his agent was arn tellem, i wouldn’t want to gamble a huge yearly salary for 5 years on such an unreliable guy.
and yeah, when he IS reliable, he is absolutely an ace deluxe.
