We interrupt your regularly scheduled Astros blog to congratulate the Colorado Rockies on their incredible 7-0 postseason wins and their first NL pennant. How sweep it is.
It’s now 21 of 22 and how well I remember the feeling of being on an unstoppable roll.
Now it’s time for Purple Reign!!!

It’s fun to see a “small market” team make a run and do well in the post season. You know the media would have preferred a Yankees-Cubs matchup.
I enjoyed Willie T’s interview after game 4. I’m a NL guy, so I’ll be rooting for the Rockies whether Cleveland goes on to beat Boston or not.
I’d just like to gloat a little.

p.s. the rss feed isn’t working is that on my side or are you guys having problems with it?
of COURSE the media would have preferred yankess/mets/cubs/redsox because they don’t want to have to actually acknowledge that any other teams actually exist.
and they are getting their panties all in a twist about the wrong teams winning.
except that now they can talk about “home grown players”
you create more interest in BASEBALL by talking about BASEBALL instead of the 4 freaking teams the espn guys are fans of. it is actually stupid business to discourage their audience from any interest in any other teams besides the 4
i am also rooting for the rox. and i HOPE over the indians. redsox are the exact same as the yecchies far as i’m concerned. i also root for the underdog. but of course, all yall already know that…
