Every single guy in the lineup got at least one hit!!!!!
And Luke Scott PROVED that he CAN hit leftys so hopefully we can now end all the platoon crap, he can stay in right where he belongs and Lance cen stay at first where HE belongs.
Biggio got 3 hits – 24 to go until the silly drama ends.
Woody gave up only 2 runs in 5 IP. White pitched poorly but somehow managed not t give up any more runs. Lidge was lights out – 3 outs with 10 pitches.
Now, I wanna see my Stros go on a 10 game win streak!!!
Look, a grrrrl has to have her fantasies or what’s a heaven for?

Hey, I’m with you, Lisa. This team could easily go on a winning streak. If Lance and Carlos got hot at the same time and he other guys were just okay, they’d score a bunch of runs. And the pitchers are good enough to win. Let’s see if we can go on a stretch and get back to .500 by the end of June.
Hey, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. One game doesn’t mean they’ve returned to form, but it’s a start.
WORLD SERIES HERE WE COME!!!!
seriously though, hopefully the confidence they showed last night will last… this roster has too much talent to be as bad as they’ve been over the last few weeks.
At the risk of sounding like I wasn’t thrilled by the victory last night (because I really was thrilled by it), I’m still troubled by Garner. He used five bench players last night in a 10-2 game. FIVE. He still hasn’t seemed to have learned his lesson from last year that preserving a few players is good. He has this strange, little-league “everyone must play” kind of mentality that’s really hurt this team. He needs to cut that stuff out.
How much you wanna bet they don’t get more than 1 run on 3 hits tonight? Sorry to be so pessimistic, but 10-game losing streaks can do that to you.
Actually, as crazy as it is, they still have a shot at winning this division if they can turn it around now! The Brewers have lost 12 of 16.
Hey Lisa – We have survived our move to Irving, although we have no phone and no internet for at least another week. I haven’t been able to see ANY of the box scores, but it looks like all I missed was a 10 game losing streak. (Gasp!)
What happened to this team? For a while there in early May it looked like they were going to start it up – they were hitting a little and winning a lot of close games. Jeesh. Between the Disastros and the Strangers, not a lot to cheer about in Texas if you’re a baseball fan.
hi yall!!!
well, garner, in my opinion, really really thinks every position player should be able to play any position and he LIKES putting players all over the place and having a different lineup every day. it IS a little league kind of thinking, actually.
i would like to see a stable lineup and lamb NOT used as a starter. i ALSO would like to see palmeiro gone, Lane sent down/traded – it is just NOT gonna work out, no matter how much I like the guy, scott in right every DAY. incredible how he has gone to last year’s phenom to this years rubbish with so few games played
lisa
Hmm, I wonder why a manager would try out various lineups during a horrid losing streak while the team’s offensive anchor is mired in one of the worst slumps of his career and the others are all hitting? Yep, it’s all Gar’s fault that Scott, Berkman, Ensberg, Everett, Lamb, Lane, and Palmeiro have posted career-low seasons thus far.
And how anyone can find room to bitch about using five bench players last night in a game where the starting pitcher only went five innings is beyond me. The bullpen is there for a reason. Or should Garner have let Lidge go three innings?
