Hopefully, all that extra BP he’s putting in is going to get him off all the Astros fans poopoo list. I don’t care what the mass media thinks – if they even notice. How fitting that Garner’s boy, Mike Lamb, should end the game on a foul out to first. Mike Lamb ended THREE innings tonight, twice with two runners on, in yet another OHFER effort.
Don’t look now, but Lamb is now batting .125 since that fateful May 12 game. And I’ll bet the facts that Ensberg is batting .294 over the same span and that he has a homerun in three of his last four games played (the only exception being a pinch-hit appearance Saturday night) will have absolutely no bearing on playing time or batting order.
