Anyway, if the Yankees get Jo Mauer, I’m done with baseball.

Also, the only way that this could possibly work is if every team gives David Wright/Longoria contracts to their 23-25 year old good players, so they could only be open to the Yankees when they reach 30, and are in or past their prime, much like 2002-2008, before the Yankees got smart again.

trouble is that MLB and the networks would be in ecstasy if the yankees won the WS every year – until, that is, the rest of the fans decided it was a rigged game and lost interest. it is all about the $$$ and as long as both MLB and the networks are convinced that it is in their best interest to have the yankees winning everything, it ain’t gonna stop.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is a Pirates fan…He said he is pulling for the Yankees to win the World Series every year!
His thinking is that is the only way Baseball will be moved to finally change the existing system.
I know baseball is making a lot of $ these days, but no way is this even remotely a level playing field!
